The Qing Dynasty emperors often traveled to the south, to enjoy the best gardens, cityscapes, and fine cuisines. You will follow their foot steps, to visit Beijing’s greatest sites, and explore China’s most prosperous cities, Suzhou and Hangzhou, where were called by Marco Polo, “the paradise on earth”.
Day By Day Itinerary
Day 1: USA / Beijing
Fly to Beijing, the capital of China.

Day 2: Arrive Beijing
Our tour guide will greet you at the airport and escort you to the hotel after dinner.

Day 3: Beijing
Visit Tiananmen Square, the largest public city square in the world. Stroll through the courtyards and palaces of the imposing Forbidden City, once the exclusive enclave of Ming and Qing Dynasty emperors. Then visit Jingshan park, enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the palace and the city. Then tour Beijing’s old Hutong (”narrow lanes”) area by old-fashioned pedicab. Visit a local family living in a courtyard-style home known as Siheyuan. Then enjoy a short and relax walking tour at Houhai. Dinner is served with Peking Duck Banquet at Quanjude Restaurant. Day 4: Beijing
Experience the thrill of walking on the Great Wall at Mutianyu, the most beautiful and original part of the wall (Cable car is included). Then explore the landscaped grounds and pavilions of the Summer Palace. Enjoy the Imperial Court Cuisine dinner and Chinese acrobatics show.

Day 5: Beijing
Visit the Temple of Heaven, where the Emperors prayed for harvest in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Stop to take pictures of the 2008 Olympic venues. Enjoy free walking and the night market at Wangfujing Street, downtown Beijing.

Day 6: Beijing / Hangzhou
Morning flight to Hangzhou, one of the seven capitals of ancient China, known for its tea products and the West Lake. Take a small boat cruise on the West Lake, revealing the ethereal beauty of Hangzhou’s willow draped islands. Dinner is served at a famous local restaurant, “Shanwaishan”.

Day 7: Hangzhou / Suzhou
Visit General Yuefei’s Temple. He was a well known national hero of ancient China. Then take a private bus to Suzhou, which is called “Venice of the East”. It has China’s most beautiful gardens. Visit Suzhou Silk Spinning Factory and Shantang Ancient Street. Enjoy Suzhou Cuisine for dinner at the famous local restaurant, “Songhelou”.

Day 8: Suzhou / Shanghai
Visit The Humble Administrator’s Garden. Then drive to Shanghai. Visit Nanjing Rd and take a walk along the Bund, Shanghai’s graceful and historic waterfront boulevard.

Day 9: Shanghai
Visit the Old City Bazaar and the tranquil Yu Yuan Garden. Enjoy a traditional Shanghai Dumpling lunch. Bus tour of Pudong. Go up to the top of the highest tower of Asia, the Oriental Pearl Tower, enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the city. Then visit Binjiang Park.
